Reported on December 11, TV Conference on Shandong Province Modern Fishery Construction & Fishery Safe Production Work was held. The conference proposed that, modern fishery shall stick to the principle of “ecology preferential and mainly in culture”, expand the fishery spaces, adjust the fishery structure, and improve continually fishery comprehensive production capacity, enhance the supervision on quality safety of aquatic product, strengthen the law enforcing management of fishery safety, to insure a continuous new achievement in modern fishery construction.
It was known that the annual gross output of entire province fishery economy reached 315 billion yuan, the output of ten dominant leading varieties (such as sea cucumber and abalone) occupied over 70% of total aquaculture production, and the annual production value has broken through 1.8 billion with the faster development of “going out” strategy.
